History
Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Population was established in 1972 with the purpose of maximizing the support and efficiency of Korean family planning and population control projects by conducting clinical and basic research on human reproduction, family planning, and family health promotion, introducing new academic information and techniques in Korea, and providing education and training for related professionals.

March 1994 | Name changed to the Medical Research Center under Presidential Decree |
January 1995 | Integration of 7 institutes including the Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Population |
February 1995 | Renamed to the Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Population, Medical Research Center, Seoul National University |
