The Institute of Environmental Medicine was established on January 5, 1990 to examine the effects of physical, chemical and biological environmental factors on human health and to provide information necessary for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various environmental diseases. The institute aims to develop epidemiological research on environmental diseases and to cultivate experts in environmental and occupational medicine.
